Avery has a tendency to reiterate whatever has just been said, either to herself, or to anyone who will listen.
A conversation can go like this.
I will say, "Avery, you need to get in your seat so we can eat."
Avery will spout, "I need to get in my seat so I can eat, Daddy," as if he didn't hear me say it in the first place.
I remember in pre-marital counseling that it was important when communicating to repeat what you heard the person say. Most of the time we hear things much differently than what is said.
Avery would be fantastic at that exercise because she repeats what is said, normally in different words but with the same message....usually.
This morning she asked where her Daddy was. I said, "He had to go back to work today. It stinks that he can't be with us all the time like he has been lately."
She answered....
.... "Daddy had to go back to school because he stinks?"

That is funny stuff. It is good that you are recording it so her kids can someday read what she said as a little girl. Have you thought about your grandkids reading you blog?
Roxy-I think often that I need to start a handwritten journal for Avery, but then realize my blog is almost better than what I would write on paper. (I tend to get lazy b/c I can't write as fast as I can type.) I just hope this blog doesn't ever get erased....maybe someday there will be a way to save it to cd or something.
hilarious.
did you know you can convert your blog into an actual book? Im in the process of doing it now, because I have recorded so many stories of Aiden's life in it already...forget the baby book! I plan to do it once a year. It's not too badly priced, and its a wonderful keepsake for years to come...let me know if you're interested and I'll send you the link!
Ashley, I didn't know! Please do send me the link.
She is too funny. I know she keeps you laughing and on your toes. :)
