The Road To Victory...

...May be a bumpy one, but I think we're on our way! Last night my team looked like a completely new team! We did not win, but they played like winners. We'll see how tonight's game goes!

Another Rough Start

I have a feeling it's going to be another frustrating season (for different reasons than last). Last year, the girls didn't like each other, therefore, didn't play well because they didn't mesh. This year, it's just not clicking because they can't learn what they're supposed to do. Thursday's games were rough, but semi close by the end of the night. Saturday's games were up and down, depending on which match you watched. I guess we'll see what next week brings us....

It's That Time Again!

Game Time! First game is this Thursday at MA. We'll see how we'll do against a pretty solid team. Hopefully we can bring it!

More Avery

Below are more Avery antics. It may seem that I'm obsessed with her; and well, I am. She's my girl; my life.

Our little model has made her debut. Here she's sporting Mr. Potato Head's glasses and a lovely purple headband.

Kenny gave Avery her own piece of chocolate cake the other night. When she was finished, she held her plate up and asked, "more?" Dawn and Chris had eaten supper with us and Chris said, "Lick your plate, there's tons of chocolate icing on there!" So, she proceeded to lick her plate and was soon satisfied.

Avery's been practicing her mothering skills. At first I thought it was big sister skills, but now I can see her copying things that I do for her. She changes her babies' dipers, rocks them, feeds them, and puts them to bed. Once they are in bed, she says, "shhhh; let's be quiet now." I didn't get to witness the actual event in this picture, but I've seen her do her whole night time routine, reading, tucking in, kissing goodnight, etc. to her baby. It's sweet.

Avery and Her Randomness

Avery learned the story of Joshua and the battle of Jericho the other day in Bible class. Now she's obsessed with marching around, blowing horns and walls falling down. So, she and her daddy have been building towers to march around and knock down. This is her latest 'TALL' tower!

Daddy came back from football camp with a fun surprise for Avery. She loves her 'football shirt' and wants to wear it nearly every night to sleep in. I can't imagine the day that it won't fit her like a nightgown anymore.

Uncle Thomas is in town now for a while. He's playing football at Faulkner. Avery has acted a little shy around him this time, but she still loves it when he reads her bedtime stories.

And in other news, this is Avery's newest way to watch her favorite movies.

Preferred Comments

Here I am, working on my 28th week. I've always noticed that some comments are a little easier to hear than others. Here's my small compilation:

You sure are blossoming, huh?
So, when do you pop?
Wow! You're getting on out there!
"Hi, I'm so and so. Oh that's right, I've met you before. You're just so much bigger than last time I saw you."

Seriously, people really do say these things.
