More Avery-isms and Braden Update

Avery just got out of her bath for the day, and her hair is in the process of drying. In the meantime, it's fluffy and curls are everywhere. Since it's clean, it's actually not messy looking, but very pretty.

I told her, "Avery, you're just gorgeous!"

She answered, "No, Momma; I'm just Avery."

Also, her new looks include "Little Old Lady."

"Aunt Jemima," which sounds like "Ain't yo' mama!"

And "Super Avery!"

Who knew a bandana could have so many purposes.

Last but not least, who could forget her Elton John look?

On the Braden homefront, things are going well. He wakes up once or twice a night to eat, then goes back to sleep. He is starting to wake up a little more during the day, which is fine with me because it's not at night.

He has his first case of acne, but this time around I know what to do to stop it before it gets out of hand. I just washed Avery's and didn't put any medicine on it because they threaten you with your life that any medicine can thin their skin out, blah blah blah. Then finally a nurse told me I could dab Cortozone cream on it once a day. I'm surprised she doesn't have pit marks because I waited to long. I guess you live and learn.

Avery is still not as interested in Braden as I thought she'd be. We have lots of pictures with her loving on him. I think this one is more accurate to how she really feels.

I love the pictures Jamey. I laughed at loud at "Ain't Yo Momma". That's pretty close to what Joshua and Abby Kate say (Aunt Ma-momma). For some reason, Joshua calls Honeycomb "Ponycomb". And cupcakes are "pupcakes". Funny.

Braden is just too cute!! And my favorite style for Avery is the Aunt Jemima look. Thanks for sharing more pics!

Looks like things are going really well for all of you! Braden is so cute! I just wish that I could reach out and hold him. I'm glad that he is waking to feed only a couple of times in the night. Jackson was and still is the same way! I am loving it (with Abby Kate and Joshua we never really felt like we were going to bed to sleep until around 4 or 5 months).

Love the pictures of Avery having fun! Don't you just love that stage?

I love all the different pictures of Avery. I know she keeps you laughing. :) I'm glad that things are going good with a new baby at home. I'm sure Avery's just getting used to having a new baby brother and not getting all of the attention anymore. I know she's still a sweet sister, though.

I am just now catching up on your blog! I am so happy to see that everything is going so well for you guys. Braden is absolutely precious! I can't believe you had such a big boy. I think we should start a club for all those mommies who have extremely large babies... or maybe we should call it a support group! : ) I love seeing all of the pictures. Keep them coming...
